Today we visited the Johannesburg International Flower Show. What a wonderful day it was! If you’ve been following my blog for a while, you’ll know that spending a day surrounded by flowers is just the perfect day for me.
I received my complimentary ticket from NetFlorist earlier on this week, along with a beautiful bouquet of roses. I have so been looking forward to this event the entire week.
NetFlorist partnered with the Johannesburg International Flower Show, hosted at Waterfall City from 30th October to 3rd November 2019. The event brought together local and international guests, florists, producers and prominent members of the gardening and horticulture industry.
It was the first flower show of its magnitude in South Africa. It absolutely mesmerised and inspired. We spent the entire day there and wished we could return for another day to this absolute floral splendour.
The exhibitions were many, both outdoor and indoor. Our first stop though, was at the NetFlorist Grand Pavilion of Flowers, and what an amazing indoor experience this was!
I love orchids, and there were so many gorgeous orchids on display; some types I’d only ever seen in photos or read about in books. I wished I could take them all home!
The brilliance of the exhibitions at the NetFlorist Grand Pavilion of Flowers – and the Johannesburg International Flower Show – will surely bring joy to Jozi and the best part is that it caters for everyone – from floral design experts and students to event planners and the whole family.
The show boasted ikebana and various gorgeous floral displays, intricate flower walls and chandeliers, fantasy gardens as well as a fun-filled children’s area for children of all ages.
Flowers are testimony that the world we live in was designed for our pleasure. By observing charming floral designs, we can learn to be colourful in stillness.
Join the 5-day event of exquisite arrangements, magnificent designs, imperial landscape as well as interactive talks and demos by Jill Manson, Sharon McGukin, Leon Kluge Pascal Garbe and Mabel Maposa. Anyone looking for a unique outdoor experience will have a marvellous time at the Johannesburg International Flower Show.
