This family fun day will provide you the opportunity to show off the talents of your ‘furkids’ to be judged by celebrity judges and to win prizes as well as the accolade of Wiggliest Bum, Biggest Smile, Cutest Trick, Spring Champion and of course, Mr and Miss Rescue.

There will also be a prize for the shelter that the winning dog came from (how awesome is that?), great music, a hot dog competition and fun dog demonstrations. The Montego Surprise for Dogtown will be announced at 14h30.

This is how you can register your doggie if you would like to take part:

  • Email your entry to Louise at louise@dogtownsa.org
  • Registration payments to Dogtown FNB account number 62326280485 with your dog name and category as the reference.

Only dogs who are entered into the competition may attend the event and they do appeal for social dogs only which must be kept on a leash at all times.

Although I support Dogtown SA and follow them on social media, I don’t often visit, so I’m super excited to be spending the day there and meeting all the lovely Dogtown doggies whose photos I see so often on Facebook!

About Dogtown SA

Dogtown SA is a sanctuary for dogs, situation in the mountains near the Hennops River. The dedicated team of behaviourists and caregivers provide care for dogs who have lost their families or been rescued from dire situations. The dogs are given individual care and attention whilst they wait for their forever homes. There are many wonderful dogs at Dogtown who through no fault of their own have found themselves homeless and often in need of care and rehabilitation.
